Cooking
The modern kitchen features a Thermador range, stainless steel refrigerator and dishwasher, microwave, electric kettle, French Press, coffee maker, coffee grinder, toaster, hand mixer, and blender. We have stainless steel cookware by Italic, an assortment of baking pans, beautiful ceramic dinnerware by Rigby, along with placemats and linen napkins for entertaining. We also provide fresh coffee beans from local women-owned roasters Jave Love, olive oil, vinegar, condiments and spices from The Callicoon Pantry. We keep a detailed pantry list so just ask us if you need anything! We also have concierge services available (for a fee) if would like to arrange for a grocery shop prior to your arrival, or anything else for that matter.
Bedding
All of the bedrooms are outfitted with Tuft and Needle mattresses, cozy comforters and pillows from Buffy, super soft Italic linen bedding, along with ultra plush towels.
Toiletries
The house features a full suite of Public Goods products (shampoo, condition, body wash, toothpaste, and cleaning supplies), and extra toothbrushes, just in case. We also have a washer and dryer along with laundry detergent for you to use.
Gym
Keep up with your routine in our gym, where you’ll find a full set of dumbbells, weight lifting bench, two yoga mats and set of blocks, foam roller, resistance bands, jump rope, exercise ball, and towels.
Entertainment
The property doesn't have great cell reception, but we do have fast cable internet and Wifi for all of your work from home needs, movie-watching, and kid-distracting needs. We have a smart TV with built-in Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, etc. for you to login using your own credentials. We also have Sonos speakers throughout the house, backgammon, chess, and an assortment of other games for you to enjoy, along with a vintage library of books and magazines curated by our friends at Sweet Pickle Books.
Families
We know what it’s like to travel with kids, so we want to make it that much easier for you by providing all the “stuff”. The house has room darkening blinds in all of the bedrooms, a travel crib and bedding, toddler bed bumpers, dresser with portable changing pad, baby monitor, sound machine, baby bath, potty seat, high chair, booster seat, bibs, kids plates, sippy cups, plus a few books and toys. The property is fairly kid-friendly - we even have baby gates on the top and bottom of the stairs and a lock on the gym - though you’ll want to be extra careful when using the indoor fireplace and never always supervise kids around the creek.
Other Things to Note
On the main level, all rooms in the house feature central air conditioning and thermostat controlled baseboard heaters, plus the wood-burning stove in the living room, to keep you warm during the colder months. In the lower level, there is radiant heating throughout along with thermostat controlled baseboard heaters, and while there is no air conditioning, it tends to stay pretty cool in the summer.
